Anthem Properties has applied for a development permit application for the first phase of a mixed-use development at 1940 Centennial Way.
The district’s Advisory Design Panel committee will discuss the design and other aspects of the first phase of a three-phase development on October 21.
The first phase proposes a mix of housing, office, child care and purpose-built rental housing over three buildings.
The currently vacant property was previously the site of the Eagle Vista RV Resort and Campground and Whistlepunk Hollow Adventure mini-golf operation.
There are three building proposed in Phase 1: A five-storey, 80 unit residential building, a two-storey 10-unit light industrial building, and an office and a child care facility for 25 children.
Of the 80 units, 22 will be affordable rental, while two of these units will be secured for child care workers.
Three vehicle accesses are provided off Centennial Way, and there will be 206 parking spaces.
The applicant also plans to provide 10,000 square feet of public open space in the middle of Phase 1, surrounded by the three buildings.
The open space will have seating, several open lawn areas, playground area, picnic area, and yoga deck.
At total build-out, there will be 186 condos and townhomes, 80 purpose-built rentals and commercial and light-industrial spaces at the development.
