In some homes, places to gather and relax are few and far between. But for many close families, the ability to connect matters.
While it boasts several appealing social spaces, one, literally stands above the rest. On the third level, there’s a loft that connects to a balcony, which offers the homeowners and guests an outdoor living space.
At 12 feet 10 inches by 10 feet, the balcony offers generous space for seating and a table. On a warm summer evening, this is an ideal spot for drinks and good conversation. This idea is supported by a walk-up bar a few steps away in the loft.
The home also features appealing options for gatherings within the second floor bonus room, 20-foot two-inch by 13-foot nine-inch great room, and open-concept kitchen.
In the kitchen, a spacious island with an eating bar that seats at least four people helps make it a social hub. There’s significant space around the island, making it easy to gather, chat and snack.
The island includes a sink and receives plenty of light, standing beneath a row of pendant lighting.
The kitchen is presented with stainless steel appliances, including a chimney-style hoodfan, subway tile backsplash, and well-sized walk-in pantry.
To the right side of the kitchen cabinets, there are open shelves with a small desk beneath it. The size of this desk makes sense for flipping through cook books or recording new recipes. It is also useful for placing mail, car keys and other miscellaneous items.
For a larger desk, there’s a flex room near the front of the main floor that can be used as an office. In the show home, however, this space is used as a bedroom.
Multi-generational households may be attracted to this option, providing elderly members of the family a sleep space that does not require regular use of stairs. This is supported with the addition of a shower in the half bathroom, giving occupants of the main floor bedroom a place to get ready for their day.
Families who value privacy will appreciate the design of the foyer. From the front entrance, there are no views beyond the foyer itself.
Large windows fill the rear wall on the main floor, pulling plenty of sunshine across the kitchen, adjacent dining area, and great room.
On the second level, the heads of the household are offered an escape. The ensuite in the master bedroom is grand and full of luxurious elements, including a free-standing tub next to a glass-encased shower with an elegant black frame.
Moreover, there’s a vanity with two sinks beneath a full-width mirror.
The ensuite links to a walk-in closet, which eventually meets up with the laundry room. The laundry room, featuring a front-load washer and dryer, can be accessed from the hallway, as well.
The ensuite and closet ensemble creates a quick and easy route for getting ready in the morning, and its laundry room access eliminates the need to haul baskets of clothes long distances.
