VANCOUVER, BC – (Marketwire – March 13th, 2013) – On February 28th, 2013, Anthem Properties Group Ltd. completed the acquisition of the historic Save On Meats Building located at 43 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC.
The Save on Meats building was originally constructed in 1891 and substantially renovated in 1908. An iconic landmark in Vancouver’s downtown east side, the building is home to the Save On Meats Diner and Butcher Shop, currently owned and operated by Mark Brand.
Anthem has plans to renovate the building, and will consolidate the Save on Meats businesses onto the ground floor retail level. Subject to obtaining City approvals, Anthem will create new, loft style, office space to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th levels of the building which is projected to be ready for occupancy as early as August 2013.
