Anthem Properties is a committed partner to the enhancement of community safety in the City of Surrey and has partnered with Surrey Crime Prevention Society (SCPS) to support their Community Safety Program in Newton.

“Anthem Properties has supported the important work performed by Surrey Crime Preventions Society for several years and we are grateful to our community partner and their on-going commitment to our Community Safety Tour Program. With the generous support from Anthem Properties, additional shifts were introduced within the Newton area”, said Karen Reid Sidhu, Executive Director with Surrey Crime Prevention Society. “We currently run our program Thursday, Friday and Saturdays and with this additional funding, we have now expanded our tours to include Sundays. 50 volunteers support this program and they are trained to observe and report on any suspicious activity in and around the Newton area”. In 2013, SCPS volunteers reported 61 incidents to the RCMP and performed 1,770 vehicle safety audits on vehicles”.
